ABOUT THE COMFORT MAMA

The Comfort Mama is an Australian made maternity label who dared to embark on the journey of motherhood with you. From pregnancy to labour to nursing and years beyond, we designed a ready-to-wear dress line that doesn't compromise on comfort or style.
We grew bored of ill-designed, baggy and uninspiring maternity-wear worn for a hot-minute. We yearned for a simple 'throw-on' outfit that draped beautifully on our bump without feeling restricted. It had to be a hospital must-pack, kind on stitches and super-convenient for breastfeeding. Where was the stylish day-dress that also served as pj’s without anyone knowing?
It was time to give Mamas and those-to-be, a fashion-forward maternity range.
Our intelligently designed dresses, embrace your ever-changing body and bump. Unlike most maternity dresses (featuring the belly bump) our design bounces back to a chic shape, making it wearable years beyond pregnancy. The buttery soft fabric is luxurious on skin, anti-static and hypoallergenic. Each dress features hidden pockets, a snap button neckline and a silhouette to suit all body shapes and sizes. With multiple colours available, this dress quickly becomes your wardrobe staple.
Make it part of yours. Browse the range.
MEET OUR FOUNDER: Belinda Condon
I'm Belinda, the Mama behind The Comfort Mama (TCM). I'm a proud Aussie ex-pat living in Essex, the UK with my gorgeous hubby, 3-year old daughter Mila and our Pomeranian, Bowie. We are in the process of moving back to Melbourne, but alas, our flights keep getting cancelled. Praying to the travel gods we can be home soon!
So, I know how it feels to not fit back into your favourite jeans. I understand that greeting unexpected visitors, family and friends in oversized tees or baggy maternity dresses is a real confidence killer.
I craved versatility; a dress wearable in public, and while at home. I wanted to rock out my top-knot (doused in a quick spray of dry shampoo) in an outfit that was comfortable and fabulously stylish—while eating the cake my visitors brought.
Turns out, it wasn't just me—Mamas all over Australia felt as I did.
Since we started in 2017, the business has continued to grow, allowing us to work with new fabrics and prints, plus new designs and additional sizes. Stay tuned for XS and XL arriving end of Feb 2021, alongside breastfeeding tees, summer dresses and robes!
The best part? I'm still wearing my dresses three years after giving birth (and yes I wear them to bed, and sometimes the next day too, but shhh, don't tell anyone).
That's my story!
